POLICIES

Arrive early for class. Observers must be quiet and unobtrusive at all times. Observation day is the last day of the month. Parents must pick up students promptly after class, Georgia's is not responsible for child care after class is concluded.

DRESS CODE

ACROBATICS All levels - Footless tights, leotard or sports bra and bike shorts, hair pulled back. NO T-shirts.

BALLET (all shoes and skirts listed are ballet type) Pre Ballet - Pink leotard, pink tights, pink shoes, skirts Ballet I & II - Black leotard, pink tights & shoes, NO skirts. Int./Adv. Levels - Black leotard, pink tights & shoes, NO skirts. Boys (all levels) - White T-shirt & socks, dance belt, black tights/pants & shoes. Girls - hair pulled back in a secured bun

HIP HOP All levels - Comfortable clothes, baggy pants and T-shirt. NO booty shorts. Tennis shoes or dance sneakers NO bare feet. NO street shoes.

JAZZ/LYRICAL/MUSICAL THEATRE All levels - Tights (footless or convertible), Bike shorts or dance pants, black jazz shoes (no sneakers), hair pulled back. NO big pants, sweatshirts or T-shirts. MODERN All levels - Footless tights, leotard or small t-shirt and jazz pants. No shoes. Hair pulled back. No jeans, big pants or sweatshirts.

PILATES Comfortable clothes, bare feet or socks. Yoga or exercise mat & towel. You may also want to bring a strap to use for stretching and a Pilates Magic Circle. The instructor has a limited supply for the class to use.

TAP All levels - Leotard (preferably solid color) & tights, shorts or bike pants allowed, hair pulled back. NO Jeans, sweatshirts or large T-shirts.Starting at Tap/Acro level NO plastic shoes.

If you wear big clothes, jeans or skirts, we cannot see your alignment and make the necessary corrections.

GENERAL
 
Where are you located? We are located at 142 E. Grand Avenue in Escondido. From the 78 - take 78 East until it ends at Broadway in Escondido. Take a right on Broadway and a left on Grand. We are on the left between Broadway and Kalmia. From the 15 North - take 15 North exit Valley Parkway. Turn East on Valley Parkway (Right). Valley parkway will turn into 2nd ave as a one way street. Take a left at Broadway and a right onto Grand. We are on the left between Broadway and Kalmia. From the 15 South - take 15 South exit Valley Parkway. Turn East on Valley parkeay (Left). Valley parkway will turn into 2nd ave as a one way street. Take a left at Broadway and a right onto Grand. We are on the left between Broadway and Kalmia.

When are you open? Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - 9:00 pm, Friday 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm and Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. (Times are subject to change without notice)

Do you have an annual show? Yes, our annual show is in June. Stop by the studio to find out the exact dates and times.

Do you offer private lessons? Yes, most of the private lessons are for competition solos and are offered for dancers who take other classes at the studio. Call if you need more information.

What classes should I take? If you are not sure of which class you should try, stop by and talk with the teacher before the class. It is best to come to a beginning class so the teacher can see your technique and then make recommendations. The more advanced classes require the teacher's approval.

RECITAL & COMMUNITY EVENTS

When is the recital fee due? Please pay your recital fee as soon as possible, usually by May 15th.

When is the recital? The recital is in June. The dates are posted at the studio. If you would like to be notified by email please send us your email address.

Where is the recital? The recital is at the Center for the Arts in Escondido. Check the board at the studio for more information.

Where & when can I purchase tickets? You can purchase tickets at the Center for the Arts Escondido ticket booth. Check the board at the studio for the date they are available.

How much are the costumes? You will receive a bill for the costumes that is due upon receipt.

What accessories are needed for the recital? We will have a meeting for the cast & parents to answer any questions about the recital. Please check the board at the studio or your email for the date of the meeting.

When will I know the order of the show? The order will be posted at the studio.. Please check the board to make sure you buy tickets for the correct show and to make sure your dancer is not scheduled in numbers that are back to back.

Can I help backstage? We always need help backstage. If you sign up to be backstage please plan to stay for the entire performance to help all the dancers backstage.

Can I take photographs of the performances? NO.Flash photography is very dangerous to the dancers. The flash can blind a dancer for a few seconds and may cause an accident. It is also very distracting to the dancers who are trying to concentrate. Therefore, flash photography is not allowed at all.

Can I video tape the performances? NO. Videotaping is not allowed during the performance. You may be able to video tape the dress rehearsal. Please come to the cast meeting to find out if it is allowed or not. A professional videographer will be videotaping all the performances and an order form will be provided.

When will pictures be taken? Pictures are taken the Sunday after the performance. Please check the board at the studio for the date and time. It will also be posted on the website. Please plan on your dancer being in each photo even if you don't want to purchase them. We display the photos at the studio for all to enjoy.
